A delightful pair of antique French portrait busts dating to the late 1800's. The girl and by head figurines have been cast from chalkware and hand painted. The antique children busts represent the famous Titi and Titine, the Parisian street urchin characters. The figure of the girl has been titled "Tititine" at the base and the boy has been titled "Titi". The bonnet of the girl has a thine slot for her to be used as a money bank. The two heads could also be used as a pair of charming bookends.
Each plaster head bust is 5" tall (13 cm) x 3" wide (8 cm).
The Paris Titi and Titine heads are in fair condition with signs of age. There are flakes to the surface of the chalkware and patina to the painted surface. The boy figure has a chop to the left side of his neck. The base of the girl figure has a small hole which was used to remove the coins in the interior of the money box.
